Recently a survivor in her marriage to Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has become an outspoken figure for both domestic abuse and LGTBQ rights. After her relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree from 2008-2012, Heard was featured in The Danish Girl, a film about one of the earliest documented transgender women who received surgery. In 2017, Heard will be the character Mera, Queen of Atlantis and romantic interest of Aquaman, in Justice League.
