Having played as Miranda Hobbes in Sex and the City, Cynthia Nixon became a role model for the career driven woman striving to have it all in the chaos of New York. After the series and films ended, Nixon identified herself as bisexual after falling in love with a woman, her wife Christine. She’s battled and lived with breast cancer since 2006, and is a spokesperson for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Her next role is as Emily Dickinson in A Quiet Passion.
