5. Slight Fever / Chills
Fever and chills are usually a symptom of the body’s response to fighting an infection. In order to combat an infection, the body will raise its core temperature, as is the case with most infections, the warmer the environment, the more difficult it is for the infection to spread. The feeling of chills is your body’s way of trying to warm itself up, and this is normally done by muscles suddenly contracting and relaxing.
Many people (and even many doctors) can have a difficult time trying to diagnose an illness, especially when multiple signs and symptoms are shared amongst ailments. The flu, for example, shares many symptoms with bronchitis; however, conventionally speaking, bronchitis is only characterized by a low-grade fever, while the flu, on the other hand, is typically higher and more pronounced.
