8. Chest Discomfort
Due to the nature of bronchitis and the impact it has on the body; infection, inflammation, labored breathing and partially obstructed airways mean you have to work much harder to move air in and out of the lungs. This often results in discomfort, strain or pain in the chest, the abdominal muscles or the muscles between the ribs that aid in expelling air.
In addition to this cause for discomfort, generalized inflammation of the lungs and lymph nodes can also create discomfort, leaving many areas tender or even painful to the touch.
